  • Making ice cream from scratch, including pasteurizing the base in-house, allows us to prioritize quality and freshness. It allows us to stand by our mission of farm-to-spoon, buying local ingredients.

    By sourcing local ingredients and avoiding preservatives or stabilizers, we ensure that every scoop is packed with pure, unadulterated flavor. While it may be more labor-intensive, the end result is worth it—delicious, homemade ice cream that's free from artificial additives and bursting with the taste of locally-sourced goodness.

  • We make every flavor in a kitchen that also produces products that contain milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, and wheat. But we follow good manufacturing processes and organize our production days to go from the least amount of allergens to most, and always wash, rinse, and sanitize equipment between each flavor.

    If you aren’t looking for a whole scooping set up, our mini-me’s (single-serve 5 oz. containers) are great for all types of gatherings and are a perfect, easy no-mess option. We can ship them directly to you or your venue or you can pick them up in store.

  • Yes! Cakes are designed to your specifications and are 3 layers: cake base, ice cream flavor #1 and ice cream flavor #2. Happy Birthday, Congratulations, or Happy Anniversary are standard offerings. Or - Let your imagination go wild and we will make you a custom designed cake!

  • The alcohol in any of our flavors tops out at about 0.5% or less per volume, which is a minuscule, trace amount. The alcohol from any beer, wine, and spirit we use to make a flavor is not burned off during production when we are pasteurizing .

    Alcohol lends a distinct flavor to several of our signature flavors, and it prevents ice crystals from forming, creating a smoother texture.

    We always say the flavor will remain, but the fun is cooked off.

  • We always love eating our lu.lu ice cream in one sitting - but if you’re not like us… It’s best to eat the ice cream within two weeks after you’ve opened the pint.

    Pro move: put a piece of wax or parchment paper against the ice cream in an opened pint prevents an icy layer from forming atop the ice cream.

  • We pack our frozen goods in an insulated shipping box with enough dry ice to keep the contents perfectly frozen well into the evening of the delivery date. It gets colder inside that box than it does in your freezer!
