Our Scoop Ambassadors are the face of lu•lu, serving ice cream and espresso drinks, creating memorable customer interactions, making fresh waffle cones, running the register, and ensuring the shop stays clean and welcoming. You'll play a vital role in upholding our "farm-to-spoon" ethos and sharing the lu•lu story with every scoop.
As a Scoop Ambassador, you will:

Shift leaders have the same responsibilities as a Scoop Ambassador combined with being a leadership presence in the shop, especially when a shop’s manager or assistant manager are not present. They are key-holders responsible for leading and managing all aspect of a shift. They model and reinforce lu•lu’s best practices around communication, multi-tasking, generous customer service, food safety, and product consistency for themselves and their scooping team. This role is a fantastic non-seasonal job with hours in the summer and winter.
Qualities of a Shift Leader:
Exhibits the same passion for community, an eye for detail, a willingness to clean (a lot), and stamina as a scoop ambassador or team member.
Able to effectively run a shift and positively influence and lead a team of ice cream scoopers, helping them uphold the highest standards and feel supported
Communicate effectively providing feedback, direction, training, and celebrating team and company wins
Resourceful and calm when challenges come up – able to problem solve independently
Have great judgment, common sense, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Maintain a positive, optimistic vibe and sustain and upbeat, high-energy environment
A desire to share what’s unique and wonderful about lu•lu: our ingredients, our process, our partnerships, our people, and our role in the community
Provide consistent, joyful service to every single customer (with the same care and enthusiasm to the 500th customer as the 1st)
What we’re looking for:
Prior experience in retail or client/customer service environment preferred
Available to work a minimum of 12-18 hours per week including weekends and nights (sometimes until 8pm).
The ability to work at least two weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday) is a must.

Our pastry team creates all of our delicious ice cream completely from scratch! Tasks include producing and processing ice cream and related products, baking cookies and other baked goods, and maintaining cleanliness of our kitchen. Key traits for pastry team members are a strong work ethic, passion for food, integrity, good team player, and strong communication skills.
